Carmen Lang, MC, Registered Psychologist

Registration #4682

I am a strong believer of improving mental, physical, social and spiritual health to achieve overall wellness. In my own life I am constantly striving for overall wellness through growing and learning from the different moments and people I encounter. My counselling approach is eclectic in order to meet the individual needs of my clients and to recognize that everyone is unique in life and in healing. I hope that by creating a strong therapeutic alliance and a safe place for my clients, that they can fuel their desire to grow and achieve their own overall wellness.

I have a Master of Counselling from City University of Seattle and have also studied in the fields of Psychology, Education and Career Development. I have a diverse resume that includes positions involving youth at risk, career development, post-secondary, healthcare, and private practice. During my 6 years as an Advisor at MacEwan University I developed a special interest in Career Development. Combining career counselling and psychological services creates an opportunity for a client to discover who they are while addressing any underlying mental health concerns.

During my professional career I have had the privilege of working with people from all different age groups, ethnic background and from all over the world. Being bi-racial has helped me embrace diversity, develop a strong cultural awareness and respect individual differences.

I feel privileged to work with all of my clients and I am honoured that they trust her to share their life stories with me. I hope to talk to you more about how counselling could benefit your life and overall wellness. Life can present many challenges, changes and experiences that can be difficult to emotionally manage. My goal is to shine a light on the client's inner resilience and help them develop the skills they need to deal with these obstacles and reach personal wellness
